Life is unthinkable without all the buildings and structures. Architects develop the design and civil engineers are responsible for the construction. However, these structures can only be built if a construction plan has been drawn up beforehand. A draftsman implements an architect's creative sketches using special design software and creates construction drawings for civil engineers. He/she is therefore the link between design and execution and thus fulfills an important task.

All the large buildings and sights were once drawn by architectural draftsmen with pen and paper. Therefore, this profession is a profession with tradition. A London Bridge or Big Ben, or even the Empire State Building would not be built without a draftsman. Technical drawing, mathematical understanding and spatial imagination are very important for this profession.
